Application DetailsSummary: All our projects go through a structured screening process where they are assessed on the following basis: Social impact: What is the depth and breadth of the social impact? Who is impacted? We are looking for projects that have a profound impact both on a given individual's quality of life and on society as a whole. Innovation: How disruptive is the innovation? We are looking for projects which are not just innovative locally, but could bring a radical new approach on a national scale. Are you aware of other innovations similar to yours? What are they doing and why is your approach better Sustainability: What is the business model for the project? How do you propose to bring in other sources of funding (earned, sales, contract income) to make the project sustainable in the long term? Scalability: How is the project replicable or scalable? How do you see the project developing over time? We are looking for projects that can be adapted or applied beyond an initial pilot site or location on a wider basis. If you have an idea for a social venture in education and want to apply for seed funding please read the criteria information and then please fill in our application form. SubmissionRemember: 1. Make your points clear and simple – if you can’t distill your idea into one or two sentences then it will be difficult to communicate it to stakeholders, users and other potential funders. Use simple language – the less jargon, the better. 2. Be concise – we won’t let you input more than 200 words per entry because we want to focus on the core idea; to save you time and so that we can process more applications in less time. 3. Address our key objectives – we get excited by sustainable ideas that can be scaled; that are innovative and that effectively address a social need affecting youth in transition aged between 14-25. If you have thought about how your idea fits the bill, tell us how. 4. We welcome works in progress - we are really interested in the best ideas so don’t worry if your idea is early stage (really just an idea with only a few sentences of description) or much more developed (with a business plan and other supporting documents). If there is a kernel of a great idea, we will happily work with you to develop it into a venture we can both work with. |
